MUMBAI: Three years ago, there was a lot of talk about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, a former married couple. It's widely believed that both did not separate on amicable terms. They haven't been spotted together since they split in 2021. Following the split, the couple's admirers were especially devastated. They continued to share this charming old footage. One such video was also found by internet users on Monday.

Samantha and Naga are shown in the video having fun with a game. Samantha had to guess what Naga Chaitanya was saying based only on his lip movements, although she was meant to be enjoying loud music through headphones. Samantha Ruth Prabhu says, "We are going to play a game where I have to guess what he is saying," at the beginning of the video. Samantha said, "Some English song huh?" while dancing as soon as she put on her headphones.
Naga Chaitanya said laughing, “Cheating. You can hear me.” Samantha requests someone to increase the volume, “Ah! Okay,” she briefly reacts. The actor begins the game with the first sentence, “You’re not looking good…Okay, you can’t hear me good.” Samantha asks Naga, “Say?” Naga Chaitanya states, “Na Family Joliki Ravodhu”. However, Samantha guessed it, “I’m in love with you.” This left Naga blushing. The actor goes on to state a couple of more phrases, one of which ‘Manam’ is guessed correctly by Samantha.
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu must have parted ways but their films are widely enjoyed by the audience to date. Recently, the former couple’s 2014 movie Manam was re-released in theatres. Among others, Naga Chaitanya also visited a theatre to watch the film again with the director Vikram K Kumar.
A video from the theatre has now surfaced on social media in which Naga Chaitanya can be seen blushing while watching his love-making scene with Samantha on screen. Not just this, the actor can also be seen asking fans to calm down as they cheer during Chay and Samantha’s romantic scene.
After dating for a few years, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu tied the knot in 2017. However, in October 2021, after four years of marriage, the two announced their separation. They had requested privacy from fans and followers in a statement at the time as they "move on."
“To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us,” a part of their statement read.
Naga Chaitanya revealed in December of last year that he is not bothered by all the scrutiny on his private life. “I really don’t bother about it beyond a point. People close to me will know the truth. Apart from that, I want to be known for my work as an actor more than what’s happening in my personal life. So I try to focus more on my craft, let the movies do the talking. At the end of the day, if my movies are great and entertain the audience, that’s what I want them to remember me for,” Chay told the popular news portal.
Naga Chaitanya just made his Over-the-Top (OTT) debut with Dhootha, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
